“If you try to aim for it, you are turning away from it.”
Everyday Zen, every moment Zen. We are to be in each moment completely, mindful of ourselves and the world around us, as well as our thoughts. We are to do this naturally without thinking much about it. The less we think about it, the more we are in each moment. When we are truly in each moment, with no expectations or attachments, we are enlightened, we are awakened, if even for a moment.
When we discover this as truth and realize all suffering ends with this knowledge, we are Buddha. We must not try harder, we must try easier.
