“I came to realize that mind is no other than mountains and rivers and the great wide earth, the sun and the moon and the stars.”
Ironic, mind is no other than… and you think a simple brief statement of humility will follow. Instead, the whole Earth and the entire universe is referenced. Let us not think of this as irony, or as opposing concepts, or duality. That is wrong. This quote is conveying the simple yet complex concept of us and our minds being one with the planet, being one with the universe. We are one and the same.
It is a sudden discovery or awakening to this great concept, but it really is going back to basics. Science’s best theory has just recently shown that we all came from the same particles or matter all at once. This can be as complicated as you think it could be. This can also be as simple as you realize it is.
We are all of the same, but the uniqueness is beautiful. It is the same, do not confuse the issue. Your fingernail is as beautiful as your kneecap, but they are very different in appearance and composition. They are both a part of our bodies. You cannot buy just one side of a sheet of paper, you must buy both sides or none at all. Our minds and spirit are our bodies, and our bodies are our minds and spirit.
