Knowing the glass will break some day causes us to thoroughly enjoy every moment with the glass. We must really consider this point, sit and be mindful of it, walk and be mindful of it while observing the world around us. We are all glasses, the world, the universe, all made of glass.
If we keep reading words thinking that act alone is the only way to become enlightened, it is foolish. It is for this reason alone that we may read words to learn how to observe differently, but must go observe on our own.
We must sit and be mindful of our mind, of our thoughts. Think about our bodies, our minds, our thoughts, and our actions. When we can master all of these things it can be very powerful.
If we never ask questions, we will forever be troubled with not knowing or understanding as much as we could have. To not improve ourselves at the risk of pride is foolish. The short moment of courage required to ask a question will always be worth it.
What it does mean is that when people love each other, they should use kind words and kind actions towards others to please themselves. This is more rewarding then saying or doing kind things only to expect something in return.
