We can see and appreciate so much more beauty if we simply learn to alter our perception. Take in the great beauty of the world, it is quite a wonderment.
It is easy to be barbarian, whether it be spilling blood, or swearing curse words. It is much more difficult, and much more noble, to control yourself, and master your mind. The biggest struggle is within.
Let us detach ourselves and be willing to accept that we may not know everything. Let us think this way about everything. Everything.
With this in mind, let us also remember that anyone and nearly anything can be a great teacher. Do not think you can only learn from those you deem worthy, or you are also closing your mind to new opportunities to learn, and closing your mind to true awakening.
As such we can interpret this quote as the one light shows in each of our pools, or minds, and in each of our minds there is one source of light. This light is often a metaphor for enlightenment. Notice how the light, or moon, is already there, how it is extant in everyone’s pool, or mind.
