With this in mind, let us also remember that anyone and nearly anything can be a great teacher. Do not think you can only learn from those you deem worthy, or you are also closing your mind to new opportunities to learn, and closing your mind to true awakening.
We all are too often waiting to speak, rather than truly listening. Let us not spill out words like water that we cannot collect or is a big mess to clean up.
If we never ask questions, we will forever be troubled with not knowing or understanding as much as we could have. To not improve ourselves at the risk of pride is foolish. The short moment of courage required to ask a question will always be worth it.
There is more than one way to look at this. One way it may be saying we should not speak, unless our words will help there be more silence by telling others to stay quiet. Another way to look at it is that we should not speak unless our words are better than silence. We should think without duality and therefore both of these persectives are true.
