“The best soldier does not attack. The superior fighter succeeds without violence. The greatest conqueror wins without struggle. The most successful manager leads without dictating. This is intelligent non-aggressiveness. This is called the mastery of men.”
There is mastery of men and mastery of mind, so to speak. It has been said that mastery of men can only follow mastery of mind. Once you have conquered the vast battlefield inside your mind, you will understand that non-aggressiveness is victorious, but that victory should be redefined. Countless authors and poets have written and recorded the spoils and turmoils of war. People dead, injured, billions of dollars spent, is that victory?
It is easy to be barbarian, whether it be spilling blood, or swearing curse words. It is much more difficult, and much more noble, to control yourself, and master your mind. The biggest struggle is within.
