“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”
The mind is a powerful tool. It can be our enemy too. When we learn to be mindful of our words, thoughts and actions, and later learn to quiet our minds so they are pure, true happiness will fill us. This happiness comes from a void, or emptiness, by letting go of unnecessary thoughts and even preconceptions and crusty opinions.
It is alright to have an opinion, but it is healthy to always question our opinions. Let us not have so much attachment to our opinions that we perceive ours as being more important than anyone else’s.
When you can understand this, you will experience true and complete happiness.
